GWYDION - "The Faerie Shaman"

(Ultra Rare US Private Press on Nemeton, # NEM-102 from 1981)

 

Label/Sleeve ->  Thick cardboard sleeve still sealed in shrink. Shrink has come off slightly top left area, couple inches.

 

Grade (Cover/Vinyl)  -> MINT (Sealed)

I can describe this as a kind of acid or psych folk unique for the Wicca / Pagan movement, but which has similarities with some openness in music which was so valuable in the 70's. Gwydion is the oldest recorded example I know of  written and recorded original songs within the Faerie Tradition, sounding different from traditional songs, but which are in fact produced under a same level of resourcement.. Some songs are celebrating, other s are more melancholic. There were some other bards after him.
