Very rare Double lp from 1971. This double lp is a Rock Opera that spans quite a few different styles, from dreamy psych, rock, folk, to some funky moves. Gatefold opens to give you all the musicians names, the acts of the Rock Opera and song titles! I tried to research this lp but found nothing out about it. I assume this was a very small press run. If you collect Private Folk, Psych, Rock lp's, it doesn't get any more obscure than this double lp from 1971! I doubt you will see another soon if ever.

Basis For The Story:
In the 60's thier was a great deal of controversy over social right and wrong. Much of this controversy came from people born between 1945 and 1950 and came of age between 1965 and 1970. These people had never known depression, war, or anything but piece and prosperity. As a result they came to expect more from life than did thier elders. They would not be satisfied accepting conditions they saw as wrong. They would not blindly accept the ways and values of the preceeding generation. They were caught in the frustrating attempt of trying to change the world form what it was to what they wanted it to be. John is one of these people .... Simon Sez is his story.
Plot Summary:
John, Freddie, and Lucy grow up in a beautiful, "Friend Forever" type of setting. But at the age of 20, John tries to find his own meaning of life by choosing s different road than do his friends, Lucy, Freddie, and Eddie Bud'nJac. He finds people unwilling to listen, and after seeing only superficial people like the CottonMan and the Candygirl, settles into love and marriage with Lucy. In Act II John begins to find his compromise awkward, and he meets stange people like Simple Simon and Ophelia. Eddie Bud'njac are jealous of him and plan his overthrow, along with Freddie who returns as the all powerful "Happening Man". Neither Johns Guarding Angel or Lucy seem able to help. John withdraws into his own world.
