Description
Here's a nearly perfect copy of a very obscure soul/island LP by The Holiday Express, on their own Holiday Express label, entitled "Lady In The Rain." This group is led by guitarist Vince Andrews and pianist/organist Percy Sweeting, and has a couple of great grooves, mixed in with the usual "Yellow Bird" stuff. Back cover indicates that LP was recorded in the Bahamas, but the pressing was done in Florida. Cover grades Ex+ in shrink, and is basically perfect except for a couple of tiny corner frays near the mouth. Back cover has autographs of all of the band members in blue ink, underneath the shrinkwrap; although this would ordinarily be extra cool, I think that these guys autographed every copy of this LP -- apparently before the shrinkwrapping. Disc is legitimately Near Mint; I played it when I bought it a month or two back, and I think that this was the first time it ever saw a turntable. To top everything else off, the band members' suits are the embodiment of all that is "fly." Airmail shipping to Europe is $12, and to Asia $14. Insurance is optional, and at additional cost. Although records will be well packed, and removed from cover to prevent seam splitting, insurance is a good idea. ALL OVERSEAS BIDDERS MUST USE PAYPAL FOR PAYMENT (I state with emphasis, due to problems receiving other forms of payment. Unfortunately, this has become such a problem that I will cancel the bids of folks who do not comply). All records are guaranteed, as is my grading. This is not my primary job, but a means of supporting a fairly bad record buying habit. As a result, I know what buyers expect, and act accordingly.
