Description
Original UK first pressing of A Salty Dog, the 1969 masterpiece by Procol Harum, and widely regarded as one of the high-water marks of late-’60s British progressive and orchestral rock. With its haunting title track, lush orchestral arrangements, and poetic lyricism by Keith Reid, the album bridges baroque pop and early prog with a depth and elegance that few of their contemporaries achieved.
Issued on the original Regal Zonophone red labels bearing the “Sold in U.K. Subject to Resale Price Conditions” text, this copy captures the warmth and analog richness of the earliest UK pressings.
Condition
Vinyl: Very Good Plus (VG+) – Beautiful glossy copy, graded EX– overall. A few faint surface hairlines under strong light, but plays clean and dynamic throughout. Tiny initials on Side 2 label.
Sleeve: Very Good Plus (VG+) – Clean and solid with faint storage wear and a small stain on rear panel. Spine fully readable.
Includes the original “Made in England – Patent No.” inner sleeve.
A strong, well-kept original — plays and presents beautifully.
