Procol Harum 'A Salty Dog'.
  Original UK Regal Zonophone red label stereo press LP.
Procol's 3rd LP released in June 1969 and their best seller after the initial success of the 'A Whiter Shade' single in 1967 and probably the best example of the classic Procol sound with Gary Brooker's vocals and lyrics backed by Fischer's organ in harmony with Trower's guitar creating their unique Sixties sound.
  The fully laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light laminate storage wear and a couple of small laminate creases on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines and 4 or 5 light needle marks on side 1 and 6 or 7 similar marks on side 2 visible under bright light. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX to EX+, still clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and very briefly in a couple of the quieter passages, overall a really great, loud and punchy listen!   The matrix nos. are; YCARX-57-1 mother stamper 1-GD, YCARX-58-1 mother stamper 1-R. This is one of the very earliest copies of the 1st press of the original 1969 UK stereo issue of this album!!
