From my own personal collection, this is an extremely reluctant sale. Widely considered to be the best pressing of the Mercury recording of Prokofiev's Love for Three Oranges Suite and Scythian Suite, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antal Dorati. The recording was originally released by Mercury Living Presence in 1957 and in 1997 Bernie Grundman remastered the recording from the original Mercury masters for this audiophile re-pressing from Classic Records. Pressed on high quality 180gram vinyl, ruler flat, superb sound with explosive dynamics, improving on the original Mercury release.
This Classic Records pressing is now long out of print and copies are very hard to find, especially virtually mint like this one.
I bought this disk brand new and sealed from a highly reputable HiFi dealer. Played just a couple of times on a Rega P3 deck. The disk is in brilliant condition and kept in the polythene outer - may have some dust specs which I have not attempted to remove so you can use your own preferred method. Sleeve has just small corner dink - see photo. From a smoke free home.
This is an early 180 gram copy and has the correct lead out matrix stamper codes - SR 90006-A BG (side 1) and SR 90006-B BG (side 2).
