Description
This is Mercury Records SR90319, Prokofiev Violin Sonatas 1&2 Szigeti Balsam, a deep groove, yellow label promo, original stereo issue of this beautiful recording with RFR2/2 in the dead wax. The record looks to be in near mint condition showing no signs of wear. However, there is a background noise, under the music, probably from the pressing, evident throughout this quiet record. I have played it a number of times before offering it for sale, and I think it is still a fine listening experience, but I cannot give it a grade. The laminated cover is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent. An original inner sleeve is included as well. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
