Description
Prog Rock and fusion LPs from the early 1970s. Soul, Blues Rock, Jazz-Rock etc.
The records themselves are identical to the UK issues but these are promotional or sample copies rather than just missing their picture sleeves because for all of them: 1) From a Lot described as promos by a reputable vinyl auctioneer in a real live auction 2) on CBS or CBS subsidiary labels 3) From 1971 or thereabouts 4) No evidence of any other UK or US promo issues for these titles that I could find anywhere online at sites like Discogs So basically it seems that this is how CBS or subsidiaries like Epic sent out promos back then. IN plain white sleeves with handwritten details.
Here's my grading of the records according to my strict reading of the Discogs grading guide:
Fields - S/T - CBS S69009 - VG+ A few light crackles maybe here and there but mostly plays like NM. Clean labels.
Black Widow - III - CBS S 64562 - VG+ Some light crackles here and there. Mostly plays like NM. Clean labels.
Ronnie Dyson - When You Get Right Down to It - CBS S 64779 - VG Vinyl has a few feelable scratches and other marks but plays through just fine and sounds nice albeit with some crackles and clicks here and there. Clean labels.
Skid Row - 34 Hours - CBS 64411 - VG+ Vinyl has a few visible marks but sounds great albeit with some crackles here and there. Clean labels.
Salena Jones - Platinum - CBS S 64435 - G+ Plays with crackles and clicks, clean labels
Heaven - Brass Rock 1 - CBS 66293 - VG One record sides 3&4 only. Light crackles throughout which are audible on quieter tracks Clean labels.
Jody Miller - He's So Fine - Epic EPC-64750 - VG
