Description
I'll be putting several items up for auction within the next few days. Please have a look.
WOW! I've been collecting psychedelic music for decades and all I can say about this one is WOW! Damin Eih, A.L.K., and Brother Clark were three musicians who had played together for seven years before releasing this amazing album, entitled Never Mind in 1974, then disappearing, never to be heard from again. Their music combines influences as diverse as the Dead, the Airplane, Ithaca, and Ultimate Spinach into a collection of complex pieces that flow into each other. They blend fast and slow, soft and loud effortlessly, often within the same song. This pressing is on Demelot Records (NS-7310), and is number 212 of 300. Label is orange with the phrase "Orange Doubledome" radiating out in a spiral pattern.
Both cover and record are a stunning M-. Cover is plain glossy stock. The front and back cover slicks have not been pasted on. In fact, the copy I'm selling came with two flawless copies of both slicks, so you can keep one set and frame the other. (front cover slick is scanned below). Record is M- only because it is open, and because it picked up a bit of lint on a spin around my turntable, otherwise, it would be absolutely MINT.
This one rates an R4 on the Fuzz, Acid and Flowers rarity scale. This is the only copy I've ever seen. The reserve price is quite modest. So buy this LP, and as the band suggests, "take off your eyes (and) lie down in your head".
Postage is $5.00 Priority Mail U.S. Reduced shipping charges will be quoted at end of auction for multiple wins. International bidders please e-mail for rates. Paypal preferred, but personal checks (held unless I've had a successful transaction with you previously) and money orders drawn on U.S. banks accepted. As always, please e-mail with questions. Thanks for looking and good luck!
