This LP is interesting for several reasons, not just for the subject matter.  At the time of this recording, Dr. Leary had gone into hiding, after having dosed several groups of people with LSD-25, and then studying them.  These groups included everyone from professors to prisoners.

Dr. Leary openly mentions that he is in his hiding place, which has become surrounded by armed military, who are looking for him.  He speaks quietly and in measured tones throughout.  It is fascinating to hear him speaking about mind expansion, freedom and the different levels of consciousness while knowing that he is being stalked by guys with guns.  Makes you wonder whether he was tripping.

Vinyl--- Pressed in very thick low-quality vinyl, (I’d guess 220g) the surfaces look VG++ to NM, but my notes say that surface noise is loud.  In those days, you didn’t make spoken-word records for their fidelity.  This is a very small private pressing, and there are not more than a few hundred of these out there.

Cover--- Beautiful cover, NO splits, ringwear, dirtwear or writing.  The back slick does have one or two isolated areas of light dirt, but not in the ring pattern associated with white covers.

Labels--- VG++ to NM.

Inner Sleeve--- Original white inner sleeve is present, very yellowed to the point of brown.  However, there are NO splits.  A generic inner sleeve will be provided to ship the LP in, so as not to ruin your very browned original inner sleeve.

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!) 

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
