Description

Gandalf The Grey:The Grey Wizard Am I (GWR/1972)
Rarely offered original copy of legendary New York City Tolkein influenced psychedelic folk private press. Melodic songs, both uptempo and with a hint of melancholy. Two of the brighter songs feature nice fuzz guitar accompaniment.
The cover is VG. There is a fair amount of wear and splitting on the seams (a 3-4" split on top near opening, about 2" on top near spine where cardboard exposed, 1" split on bottom in middle). There is some wear on the spine, but no heavy damage or splitting. The corners are dented, with the lower right corner having a heavier crease. There are a couple of mild arcs of ringwear on the back cover.
The record is VG- to VG. There is a minor amount of light sleeve scuff marks, but a couple of heavier marks (Side 1 song 3, Side 2 song 6- causes some light clicking for about 20 seconds). The pressing of the 1st side is rather bubbly. This causes a fair amount of light popping throughout the side (audible, but not overpowering the music). Outside of the last song, the second side plays with only a very occasional light crackle.
