Message From The Temple

A superb copy of Psychic TV's 1982 debut album.

With vocals by Mark Almond on two tracks.

Not sure about the exact pressing as there were a few in 1982 and nothing on Discogs seems to fit mine.

As far as I can tell, the matrix and the cover info point to it being the Dutch pressing,

but the Dutch pressing has STERMA printed on the labels for the rights society and it doesn't have PSY - 1 -

the Some Bizzare cat number -  printed under the WEA code on the label.

Mine has no rights society printed on the label but does have the Some Bizzare code - PSY - 1-

printed under the WEA code on the label.

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

The other odd thing is that my copy came with a rough ripped edged black piece of textured paper

with an Alister Crowley Quote, all be it slightly miss quoted, in gold hand written text and

Psychic TV Dogs Blood Order. and Psychic TV logo.

I can't find any mention of this anywhere.

The condition of the playing surfaces is superb, both sides are beautifully glossy, dust and fingerprint free.

There is on small mark near the start of 'Guiltless' that can be heard when played as a soft tick for about 20 seconds.

This aside the vinyl is in near perfect condition and sounds absolutely superb throughout.

The outer sleeve is in excellent condition. There is a small amount of wear along the bottom edge of the front cover.

The corners are in excellent condition, as is the spine.

The curious insert is in excellent condition. It looks like it has been folder in half at some time.

Before photographing, each record was cleaned using a Knosti disco-antistat record cleaner using a solution

of 1:8 parts Isopropyl Alcohol to De-ionised water, with a couple of drops of a surfactant.

If necessary, records were given a hands on clean, as bellow, followed by a second run through the Knosti.

1 - Removal of any surface dust with a light brushing over with a carbon fibre and velvet disc cleaning pad

2 - Deep cleaning with large (Big Fudge) velvet pad and cleaning solution

3 - A final brushing with a Pro-Ject carbon fibre record brush.

I am a professional photographer by trade, and have gone to great lengths to light and photograph covers, inner sleeves

and the vinyl themselves in such a way as to show, as accurately as possible, the actual condition of all.

Rest assured that what you see is exactly what will be despatched to you if you are the successful winner of each listing.

Happy to take returns, So please, feel free to bid with confidence.

I personally wouldn't bid on a pre-owned record without the option to return it if I felt that the seller hadn't been

totally truthful and transparent in their description of it, or that on receipt it didn't live up to my expectations.

And I do not expect you to do so either.

Unless otherwise stated every record was purchased by myself from new and only ever played

by myself on my own deck and with as expensive a cartridge as I could afford at the time.

And finally, because Mr or Mrs  Poasty may not handle your record with the same care and reverence that you or I would,

I will dispatch in a specialised corrugated cardboard record mailing outer, and if I feel even more protection is required

I will also include two extra sheets of 3mm corrugated cardboard for added safety and protection.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for showing an interest

in giving a new home to one of my records.

I have other listings live right now and will be adding new ones on a regular basis,

so please do take a peak and stay tuned for more. I will combine postage, so please do ask.
