Description
Rare, classic, Australian Punk / Detroit influenced 7" single from the Psycho Surgeons - "Horizontal Action" b/w "Wild Weekend".
Released on Wallaby Beat with the ever desirable cow-blood splattered cover. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychosurgeons for some other information on the band (although it's not that historically correct).
I purchased this single the week it was released and it was carried through various share homes in the 70s and 80s so it's not in immaculate condition (if you can find one that is then it's probably a fake).
The cover has a round sticker with a symbol on it and the A side label also has another penned symbol: both of these were my IDs to help ensure the record stayed in my possession. The glue has come unstuck on one edge of the cover and there is a small tear on the back coming from the opening. After all this time, some of the blood has become oxidised or slightly worn off (on the picture - it's the right hand side near the opening). The vinyl itself is in reasonable condition with some surface marking, clicks and crackles but no major scratches.
I just listened to this again to ensure that it's OK and, yes, it is one of the greatest punk records.
