Public Image Limited:First Issue 'Metal Box' Rare 1979 UK 3 x 12" 45 RPM LP PiL     Item Description Public Image Limited:First Issue 'Metal Box' Rare 1979 UK 3 x 12" 45 RPM LP PIL, iconic Post Punk masterpeice. Public Image Ltd (also known as PiL), an English Post- punk band formed by singer John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten) Their 1979 album ' Metal Box' was ranked number 469 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2003 list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.  

This is a rare limited edition original UK 1st pressing 3 x LP in a metal box resembling a film canister with an embossed PiL logo on the lid, a stickered Metal 1 on the base and round paper inserts between the records. Released: 23 November 1979, label: Virgin (UK).

The condition of the vinyls are in generally good condition, some light scratches to record one and a few very light marks on two- see photos.The tin is in good condition, it has some very mild tarnishing / oxidisation to be expected for it's age. The sticker on the reverse is intact 'Metal 1' and the LP labels are clean.
