Puff Daddy & The Family - No Way Out Arista BMG Label 786127301212 1997 UK First Pressing - Never re-issued only pressed for US and UK/Europe
Mega rare vinyl copy of one of the most important hip hop albums from the golden era of 90's hip hop. I have never seen another copy of this, back in 1997 vinyl sales were rock bottom so not many of these are out there. Although this copy has been well loved it still makes a great investment and collectors piece.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - VG There are a lot of light small marks from regular use but not large or deep scratches. Some of the gloss finish has dulled so would probably benefit greatly from a machine clean. Labels are in good condition just a pen mark on sides 1 and 4.
Record Audio - G/VG There is considerable surface noise, particularly in between tracks and on quieter moments on the album, no skips or jumps that I heard. However on the louder stand out tracks the full rich sound shines through and is for the most part an enjoyable listen. Tracks such as Been Around the World (Bowie sample), Young G's (Jay Z and Biggie duet), Can't Nobody Hold me Down sound great and for a lot of people the key tracks of the album. If you want a more detailed report on a particular track just let me know.
Record Sleeve - VG There is considerable shelf wear but it masked well by the light colour of the sleeve and is overall very presentable with no rips or tears. There is no visible ring wear and just a small pen initial on the top right corner. Titles are still visible on the spine. Still has original hype sticker which is a nice touch. Picture inner sleeves are present and in very good condition.
