Description
For sale is a mega rare copy of the soundtrack to 1990 indie film Pump up the Volume, starring Christian Slater.
The soundtrack features some great songs by bands like Sonic Youth and Cowboy Junkies, and also a rare version of Wave of Mutilation by Pixies, much slower and laid-back than the version on Doolittle.

The vinyl is in great shape. I've not cleaned it but have played it through (first time in 20 years!) and (surprisingly for a soundtrack) it's a fantastic sounding record. Really bright and punchy pressing with clear and open soundstage throughout.
The vinyl has two or three very minor ticks but no pops or scratches. These could probably be removed with a good clean. I'd grade it as Excellent.
The cover is also in good nick with the original sticker still on the front. There is a small 20mm seam split on the top, which you will see in the pictures. Apart from that I'd also grade the cover as Excellent.
This record appears to be extremely rare as couldn't see any others on eBay, either past or present. A great addition to any soundtrack collection or collection of early 1990s alternative american bands.
