Purrkur Pillnikk : "Googooplex" 2 x LP very scarce that typical Icelandic sound from the early 80s which is kinda hard to classify: punk / post punk / cold wave / new wave / kbd released in 1982 on the Gramm record label original pressing
Purrkur Pillnikk ('Sleepy Chess-Player') is a rock band from late punk era in Iceland. The band existed for 18 months (1981–1982) and were very active as they released at least two LPs, one live-album and two EPs. The distinguishable character of the band were Einar Örn's howling and off-key singing and his lyrics that most often described very day-to-day things but with a lot of interwoven angst. Members of the band later found themselves in KUKL, or in 1986 inthe Sugarcubes.
The members were: Ásgeir R. Bragason, Bragi Ólafsson, Einar Örn Benediktsson and Friðrik Erlingsson. The three latter ones formed Smekkleysa/Bad Tastepublishing house in Reykjavík with friends and were also members of The Sugarcubes.
Their records were: Tilf, a 7" EP containing 10 songs and lasting about 12 minutes in total; Ehgji en, an LP containing 17 songs; Googooplex, a double 45RPM album containing 13 songs; No Time to Think, a 7" EP containing 4 songs; and the posthumous live LP Maskínan, containing 17 songs including several not on the other records, most notably a 5-song suite entitled "Orð fyrir dauða" (Words before death) specifically written for their swansong concert at the Melarokk festival in August 1982. They also had a track on the ROIR Records compilation World Class Punk.

vinyl : very good - numerous hairline marks on both discs, sound quality is not badly affected, a few minor pops and crackles here and there - no skips. Clean vinyl which still retains a lot of it's original gloss. cover : very good - ring wear more prominent on the back, corners a tiny bit dinged, nothing major. Spine is a little bit frayed. postage $13.80 anywhere in Australia registered post $3.20 per parcel additional if required (includes insurance cover up to $100) overseas airmail postage: note the parcel is a little over 500g when packed so it is in the weight category 500g - 750g due to it being a 2 x LP release. ** USA is also in "Zone C" but as the total parcel weighs over 500g, an additional $9 "security surcharge" applies so the total postage to USA will be $33 airmail - sorry guys, it's a total ripoff.
sea mail is available to zones C ($16.85 excluding USA) and D ($16.85 also) USA would be $25.85 sea mail - it's a LOT cheaper than airmail and I've never had anything go missing, it's just very slow - it COULD take up to 3 months, this is an option for the winning bid.

I'm not a prolific seller, but if you win more than one auction item over a period of a few days, then yes: of course I'll combine postage to save you money. It saves me time and it saves you money. Oh, yeah and it saves the planet's resources too....

3: payment in Australia by Paypal, bank deposit or postal order. Sending cash for payment in the post is just dumb, no matter how well concealed.
4: payment from outside Australia is by Paypal only, unless in exceptional circumstances, in which case you will need to contact me before placing a bid.
5: by all means, ask questions but don't leave it to the last minute. I also have a life outside of ebay so I'm not always online.
6: if you have less than 10 feedback, or less than 99% positive feedback, please contact me before you bid, to demonstrate your genuine intention to complete the transaction. We all have to start somewhere, but once bitten, twice shy.
7: sorry, no local pick up of items
8: I will post the winning bidder's item(s) the following business day after payment is received.
9: no postal loss or damage claims will be entertained unless the buyer has paid for additional trackable postage. I pack everything carefully but once the item is in the hands of the postal authorities I cannot control what happens to it. Everything I sell, I post and keep the postal receipt. Check my feedback in doubt.
10: For certain countries with questionable postal systems I may insist on additional trackable post at the buyers expense. Sorry Italy - this means you. And Bulgaria. Apologies buyers in those countries, it's not your fault.
