Payment Puzzle Record-Jimmie Rodgers Scroll Victor 23621

Offered is the (Jimmie) "Rodgers Puzzle Record" on scroll label Victor 23621. Victor made extractions from Rodgers' earlier recordings, Train Whistle Blues, Blue Yodel, and Everybody Does It In Hawaii, re-mastered these 3 tunes, and then pressed them on a record with three concentric grooves, starting at different points on the disc's run-on circumference. Which tune played depended on where the stylus/needle was placed at the start. The date in the ledgers for this Camden New Jersey remastering session is November 11, 1931. Jimmie was not present.

On the reverse side (a standard recording) Jimmie does "Let Me Be Your Side Track." This selection was recorded on June 11, 1931 in Louisville Kentucky.

This 78rpm disc is in excellent-minus (E-) condition with light surface scuffs.
