Description
Scarce private all-female garage rock/soul lp: F. R. Dickinson Presents MAIDEN VOYAGE in NEW YORK - Recorded Live at the Jockey Club, Americana Hotel, March 1974; FRD Records 102, released in 1974. This copy is AUTOGRAPHED by all five members on the back cover. Some listings call this lounge, but it is way more rock & soul, even gospel soul - killer organ sound, some funky midtempo stuff, some faster rock/soul stuff (they do a fuzzy cover Roundabout by Yes and pretty much kill it); also a track for the drummer to solo and she also kills it.
Condition: VG+/VG+ (the A-side is EX or EX+ while the B-side has either heavy scuffing or moderate surface scratches that I can't feel - either way, it plays EX with very little background - music and production are loud and it sounds great throughout; jacket has minor rubbing to extremities, some light shallow spotting to right margin and top corner, some minimal bubbling to reverse from incorrect factory pastedown).
