THE PYRAMIDS - LALIBELA, Pyramid Music 3093.

Condition of record is VG+. There are a couple of scuffs and several spindle marks, but the record plays well with only occasional ticks. The jacket shows significant ring wear, 3" seam split upper right, 1" seam split lower right.

This rare 1973 independent release by Ohio band Pyramid features a spiritual style with percussion. The members are:
1. IDRISSA ACKAMOOR - Alto, Soprano saxophones, Bailofone, Masenqo, Talking Drum, Moroccan clay drum.
2. MARGO ACKAMOOR - Flute, Piccolo, Percussion.
3. KWAME KIMATHI ASANTE - Hagstrom bass, Ugandan Harp, Ethiopian Drum, Bamboo Flute
4. MASAI - Soprano Sax, Bamboo Flute, Percussion
5. MARCEL LYTLE - Drums, Percussion
6. HEKAPTAH - Conga Drums, Osi Drum, Percussion
The entire record is given over to two titles: Lalibela, which takes up all of side 1 and part of side 2, and Indigo, which takes up the remainder of side 2.
