Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. The 1974 Quadraphonic original issue uses a then, specially designed SQ decoder permiting the a 4 channel sound separation (as opposed to the regular 2 channel) when playback is through the quad system or even surround sound receiver, resulting in completely different song mixes that can be detected even on the 'normal' stereo system. The record company changed around the song mixes (sounding like things were added) to enhance the quadraphonic 4-channel listening experience....

Hear the alternate song mixings of: STORMBRINGER...a fan favorite of the MKIII Deep Purple lineup who released two fine albums ("Burn" & "Stormbringer") ... as the classic MKII group crashed, guitarist Blackmore and organist Lord wasted no time recruiting the terrific ex-Trapeze bassist and vocalist from the original TRAPEZE band, as well as the then unknown, extremely effective David Cloverdale to combine a lethal tight & creative heavy unit, which unleashes on STORMBRINGER.... the best example of Coverdale era Purple available. The title track is fantastic blessed with one of the best Blackmore solos and inventive lyrics from David Coverdale. Love Don't Mean A Thing is very bluesy and enjoyable in the same. Holy Man is probably Glenn Hughes' finest hour with Purple as he takes on all the vocal duties himself on this moving and intense ballad. This is followed by Hold on a funky blues offering that is actually quite good from start to finish. Lady Double Dealer is an out and out hard-rocker and one of the few songs that you feel Blackmore enjoyed letting his guitar rip. You Can't Do It Right is another funky cut, a direction Blackmore was interested in at the time. High Ball Shooter features a blinding organ solo within a good song. Gypsy is sung and performed beautifully. The album closes with Soldier of Fortune a wonderful peice sung solely by Coverdale and a slow haunting solo for Blackmore.
