Description

You are bidding on perhaps the most undeniably rare item of all Quasi memerobillia you'll ever come across, a copy of their 1999 double-LP with hand-drawn artwork by both Janet Weiss & Sam Coomes!!!! When the Portland super duo (Weiss from Sleater Kinney, Coomes from Elliott Smith's old band Heatmiser, the two were a couple.) finished their third album for Up Records in 1999, local independent record store Jackpot (us!) hired them for a special promotion. Both band members drew individualized artwork on the fourth, blank side of this 3-sided record (one LP has two sides of music, the other has music on one side and a smooth, blank vinyl surface on the other side.) THERE WERE ONLY 25 RECORDS MADE LIKE THIS!!!! Much like the golden ticket to enter the Wonka Chocolate Factory, the hand-adorned LPs were slipped into their sleeves and sold at regular price without any indication of what was within to an unknowing public. Only 25 lucky few who bought the vinyl would open up their records to find this amazing, one-of-a-kind surprise. And now, we've unearthed one of these unique and impossible to reproduce rarities, with original drawings and autographs in silver and gold ink by both members of Quasi. It's not enough that the LP version of "Feild Studies" is long out of print and a collector's item on it's own, but this copy is something you will never ever see again. Includes original lyric sheet insert as well. A very special item and one that would thrill any Quasi or Sleater-Kinney fan to bits. Happy bidding and good luck!!!!

This record has been cleaned on a professional grade VPI record cleaning machine. Having inspected the vinyl and sleeve under a 200 watt bulb, I would describe both as very good plus plus--the vinyl shows only a few extremely faint marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. The packaging is free from any creasing, ringwear or defacement.

This record will be shipped in a new cardboard mailer designed for shipping records, NOT in some jury-rigged postal box. We're all record collectors here at Jackpot Records and know firsthand the frustration in receiving a great record in terrible packaging. We will pack your record as carefully and lovingly as if we were sending it to ourselves.

Priority mail shipping within the United States will be $8.00, which includes delivery confirmation and usually takes 2-3 days. International airmail shipping (4-15 days) is a flat $12.00 world wide. Due to the high cost of registering international shipments, we are unable to track any overseas shipments, and cannot be held responsible for items lost in the mail. International buyers have the option of paying an additional $20 for registered shipment, please email for more details.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We're happy to email further photos, or investigate further any concerns.
