QUEEN A Night At The Opera (EMI EMTC 103) RARE UK -2/-2 "Blairs" 1st Pressing MINT
What can I say? Here`s a genuine very first UK pressing of Queen`s "A Night At The Opera" on EMI Records (November 1975).
- CATALOGUE: EMI EMTC 103
- MATRIX: YAX 5063-2 / 5064-2 (Very first pressing matrix numbers)
- STAMPERS: 4 RAG / 3 T
- "BLAIRS" ETCHED INTO DEAD WAX SIDE 1 AND 2 /
MINT- COVER. Embossed first pressing "coat of arms" on the front cover. The pristine white sleeve has an extremely light price sticker stain (at top right), as well as a small seam split (1 inch long) on the top edge. Otherwise perfect.
Also included is the first pressing heavy cardboard insert with cut corners (later rounded). The insert has a seam split (2 inches) at bottom. Please see photos for details.
MINT- RECORD with a few lightest hairlines from sleeve removal only.
The matrix numbers read "YAX 5063-2" and "YAX 5064-2" respectively, denoting a very first UK pressing. First pressing "Blairs" stampers are etched into the run-off grooves.
PLEASE NOTE: Over the next few months, we will regularly be offering a number of rarities, mainly progressive and avantgarde records: A very discerning, long-time collector friend left us his treasure chest! Not only are many of these lps extremely rare, they are almost all in MINT(-) condition - both inside and out.
As we slowly inch our way closer to springtime, we will be spreading the goodies out, in no special order. Suffice to say that the best is still to come!
