A FULLY signed QUEEN "A Night at The Opera"  USA promotional issue LP signed by ALL four original members of "QUEEN"

Signatures are in clear, fine black biro pen

* FREDDIE MERCURY has added the dedication 'LOVE' to his signature

* BRIAN MAY has added the dedication 'WITH LOVE FROM QUEEN' to his signature

* ROGER TAYLOR has added the dedication 'LOVE' to his signature

* JOHN DEACON has been his traditional boring self and not added anything! lol !

The LP was signed at the 10.03.1976 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica CA - USA

Adding to the value of the LP is the fact it is actually a PROMOTIONAL Radio Station issue LP issued from Elektra Records (USA), this is stamped boldly on the rear of the LP sleeve

The LP was obtained by a guy called 'HOYT TOMKO' who lived in Santa Monica, California on the west coast of America during in the 1970s.

Hoyt worked within a security company that provided event cover for music concerts sports events

Over the course of the 70s and early 80s he covered many different concerts and was able to meet many famous bands during this time

Each member of the local event cover staff at the Santa Monica event were given a copy of the LP from the Queen tour co-ordinator PETER BROWN

HOYT was fortunate to meet ALL the band personally and got the LP (gift) signed as a gift for his wife (hence the dedications of 'love' on the sleeve)

She found the hit song 'BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY' of the year previous totally mesmerising and distinct Hoyt recanted this to Brian was very humbled how Queen's music had touched his wife in such a nice way

Hoyt remarked to his wife that the band were so friendly, accepting and accommodating while he was in their presence, despite their young age they acted like far more mature then their age

I obtained this LP directly from Hoyt's wife Myra, Hoyt sadly passed away last year.

I was travelling on holiday in west USA and managed to catch her advert LPs/posters/autographs in the local free paper I was reading.

Myra, was looking to raise some cash from selling off Hoyts collection as she has no use for it being in assisted accommodation now, and to afford herself a little better life

She showed me several albums of photos with him with Rod Stewart, Paul Simon, Randy Newman, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Ramones to name but just a few

It was great speaking to someone first hand to someone who had been so close to so many famous folk over the years.

Indeed it was very quirky when she could even recall to me how much it was for her to see to Queen all those years back, a full $6.50 ! she was front of house rocking and living it up while Hoyt was looking after things in front of stage $6.50 to see Queen !!

Wow now that’s good value in anyone’s book !

CONDITION

Unfortunatly the LP sleeve in not in mint condition. It is discoloured and looks quite dirty at first glance (it is over 30 years old bear in mind)

However in a wierd way this seems to actually to the overall niceness of the item in my opinion.

The sleeves shows its age but once framed and glazed it will improve the overall look of the album tenfold

So there you have it, the full history of the piece and the associated provenance, now you guys reading this far down my probably already too long ad maybe thinking as to why I have this up for auction well the simple reason being is I am a great queen collector myself and I already have 'A Night at the Opera' fully signed and framed and glazed on my wall

This item I have already is pristine condition, super clean, signed and dedicated in fine metallic pen and also authenticated through the Queen International Fan Club

I have many other signed items, memorabilia, awards, band clothing & concert posters so I am at a point where I am very selective what makes it into my collection
