This very early pressing plays with immaculate audio and there is no interference!  The clarity and definition is second to none and is a FINAL UPGRADE archive album for certain.

The cover and lyric inner are also in fantastic condition with no obvious shelf wear at all.  This album has been so well preserved down the years.

Visual grading

The vinyl is extremely clean and has no scratches or marks and all I can detect are a small number of very faint hairlines.  This is common due to the abrasive nature of the inner sleeve.  There is one hairline that is slightly more obvious on S2 but it has no affect on the stunning quality of the audio at all.  It has a lovely glossy sheen and has only a little spindle wear on S1 and none on S2.  The run out grooves and labels could not be any cleaner.  

Play grading  

The audio on this very early pressing plays to an incredible standard and S1 is undeniably Mint in every way.  I played every second of every track and I cannot adequately put into words just how stunning the audio is!  From 'Staying Power' to the final track 'Action This Day' there is no interference whatsoever, not even a solitary dust tick.  Each track plays with incredible precision equal to that of an unplayed vinyl.  I honestly do not think I've heard 'cleaner' audio than this!  Yes a little inner groove distortion on the final track but that is always to be expected with this album.

I am delighted to say S2 is of the same 'high end' standard.  'Put Out The Fire' plays with Mint precision from the first note to the last and then 'Life Is Real' is equal to that with only a small number of barely audible dust ticks.  The remaining tracks play with the same immaculate clarity and depth and 'Cool Cat' in particular is very impressive for a relatively quiet track.  The classic 'Under Pressure' ends the album with great audio and only the bare minimum of distortion.

In summary I honestly do not think it would be possible to find an early pressing as good as this.  The clarity and warmth of the audio is breathtaking and there is not a single click or pop on either side and no static or crackle either!  The odd mega light dust tick that is all but without doubt this is a FINAL UPGRADE pressing of that I am confident.

The Cover

This cover is in superb condition and has been remarkably well preserved.  There are only a handful of mega tiny 'rubs' on the edges and the spine is near perfect with only a couple of very small 'rubs' again.  I am sure most sellers would not even mention them as they are so minor!  The corners are so clean with hardly any wear and the opening edge has no handling wear either.  The front cover is spotless and in perfect order and the back cover is almost as good with only the minor remnants of a sticker removal mark.  It is also still strong and robust as if it hasn't been handled very much at all.  This is a stunning example of this cover and has lost none of its original colour.

The Lyric Inner

The glossy inner is pristine with no side splits or marking of any kind.  100% perfect!

The Labels

They are in immaculate condition with no marking or writing and barely any spindle wear.  Superb examples!
