Description
Queen : Innuendo A1 / B2 1st Press
This first pressing plays with great clarity and depth and the only 'background' is some very light static on a couple of tracks. There are no clicks, pops or crackle and overall the playback is superb.
Most of the first pressings are found with the A2/B2 matrix and this one with the A1/B2 matrix is really not that common. This album was not pressed in great numbers as of course vinyl was not as popular in the 90s.
What makes this particular one even rarer is that it has the S1 label on both sides! I have never seen that before with 'Innuendo'. This may make even more collectable, who knows!
The cover is beautifully 'white' with no marking and the only wear is a very small split on the top edge. The lyric inner is also in pristine condition.
Please wait for the invoice before making payment thank you.

The audio on S1 is Mint- (Track 1 Near Mint)
The audio on S2 is Near Mint- (Mint- in many sections)
The cover is Ex+ (so close to Mint apart from one minor area of wear)
The lyric inner is Mint
The labels are Near Mint
Visual grading
The vinyl is in excellent condition and there are no marks or scratches. There are some light hairlines on both sides but they have no affect on the stunning audio. Their is barely any spindle wear so this record has probably not been played too much and the run out grooves and labels are also very clean. As stated the S1 label is actually on both sides - I guess someone in the 'factory' was a little inefficient!
Play grading
The classic 'Innuendo' has barely any static on the intro and as the vocal starts there is no interference and the depth and power of the audio is stunning. It continues in the same way and even the quiet 'Spanish guitar' section has only minimal static and there are certainly no clicks or pops. The 'flamenco' section then plays with perfect precision as does the remainder of the track. There is just a little static on the fade out but this is definitely a Near Mint version in my opinion.
'I'm Going Slightly Mad' again has hardly any static on the intro and from then on the audio is so impressive. There is no 'background' not even a dust tick and the clarity could not be any better. Mint- is an honest appraisal of the audio here.
'Headlong' is of the same standard and 'rocks out' loud and true with no interference and only 4/5 barely audible dust ticks. The definition of the audio is so good and it is clear this vinyl has not been played very much. The playback is so rich and deep and again there are no clicks or pops. This is worthy of a Mint- grading.
The audio on 'I Can't Live With You' is immaculate! The only 'background' is a minimal amount of light static at the end of the fade out but to all intents and purposes this plays with superb Mint precision.
I am delighted to say 'Ride The Wild Wind' is of the same 'high end' standard and as I always do I listen to every second of every track in order to give a 'correct' grading. This 'Taylor' track again demonstrates the superb depth and warmth of the audio and there is nothing to fault.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
'All God's People' on S2 is 'as new' from the very start and continues to play with breathtaking quality. It may not be everyone's favourite but having turned this up to loud the playback is just immense! I heard only one mega faint tick and light static on the fade out. This is easily Near Mint although the vast majority is better than that!
'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' plays with great clarity from start to finish and there are no clicks or pops. There is just very light static in the background every now and then but it very quiet and totally non-intrusive. I think Near Mint- is a fair grade to give here.
'Delilah' is very 'clean' but with just a little more static at the beginning. I must stress that it is still very quiet and does not intrude on the quality of the listen. The remainder plays with great precision with no 'background'. Near Mint- again.
'Don't Try So Hard' is the one track on the album that often plays with a fair amount of static/crackle but it is definitely kept to a minimum here. There is only a minimal amount on the intro but as per the previous tracks it is very quiet and non-intrusive. Thereafter the audio is very strong with only some very light static in the quieter sections. Once again there are no clicks or pops and the depth of the audio is very impressive indeed. Near Mint- is deserved again :-)
'The Hitman' plays with stunning power and depth throughout. With only a couple of ticks on the fade out this is Mint- in every way. What a version!
You might expect 'Bijou' to play with static that is a little more obvious so I am pleased to say the playback is very impressive and there is only a very minimal amount of light background static. A very clean Near Mint- version.
The classic and iconic 'The Show Must Go On' plays with tremendous clarity and depth right from the very first note. In fact rarely have I heard it play so well - the power is tangible and there is no distortion at all, a rarity in itself. There is no interference and even the 'Go on' fade out plays beautifully with barely any 'background'. A fantastic Mint- end to the album.
In summary this first pressing plays to a superb standard with very little 'background'. What minor static you can hear is very minor and non-intrusive in my educated opinion. The cover is so close to being perfect and the only thing that stops it from being so is the small split on the top edge. It is very rare to find it so 'white'!
The Cover
The cover is definitely one of the cleanest I have ever seen and it has retained its original 'white' colour superbly. I imagine it has been kept in a protective sleeve it is pure white on both sides! The only negative is one very small seam split on the top edge - this is a shame because apart from that this cover would be Mint! There is no other rubbing or marking on the edges and the spine is in perfect condition. The corners are also near perfect with only one tiny crease top right but this is often something you would see when first purchased. The opening edge has no handling wear whatsoever. As stated the front and back cover are supremely clean with no discolouration or marking and overall this is a fantastic cover apart from that one minor imperfection.
The Lyric Inner
This is in perfect condition with no side splits or creasing and no marking either.
The Labels
As stated the S1 label is on both sides and they have no marking or writing and hardly any spindle wear.
