Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

As you can see, this vinyl is the 1ST STERLING pressing  - Stored from new this LP has seen  ONE CAREFUL play only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere. THE VINYL REALLY IS QUITE SUPERB.

IT PLAYS ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE, AS GOOD AS WE HAVE EVER HEARD.

FILED AWAY FROM NEW IT IS SPECIAL!

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is virtually no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

There is just one tiny spider line around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There is barely a hint of any whisp lines, and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves....overall this is easily as clean a copy as we can hope to hear.

The quiet passages sound really superb..barely a hint of any static at all -SUPER CLEAN!!!..

A very rare record to see at all these days..

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

Correct FLAT MATT GATEFOLD UK issued sleeve  - with SUPER WIDE SPINE & EMBOSSED 'JAZZ LOGO'

Later sleeves had no embossing.

 This is in simply incredible condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean. MOST SLEEVES OF THIS LP AS WE ALL KNOW, SUFFER TERIBLY WITHOUT VERY CAREFUL HANDLING..

THIS ONE IS A SUPERB TIME CAPSULE  EXAMPLE -THE BEST WE HAVE EVER SEEN IN FACT.

The edges are all super clean with NO traces of rub spots on the edges

 All colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

No  ringwear - no press,  & no white rubbing anywhere - 

NO tip rub on the corners

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -NO  hint of feathering

The spine is super , has the two white 'tram lines' as all G&L sleeves did..and there is NO edge rub.

AND the open out of the gatefold is  pristine

WE CANNOT SAY MORE THAN THIS REALLY IS QUITE SPECTACULAR.

THE INNER SLEEVE   MINT-

Original LAMINATED CARD  INNER SLEEVE, WITH THE ROUNDED CORNERS (Later ones were not rounded and much thinner)  HAS A SMALL SCISSOR REAPIR (hardly notcieable) AT THE BOTTOM..

the  LP has been kept in further poly sleeve inside.

POSTER  MINT UNATACHED

This poster is in as new condition but- Unattached, as many were ( in the UK some stores, most notably WH Smith,  refused to have the posters attached to the sleeve & displayed on the shelves, so they perforated them to keep behind the counter seperately-crazy Britain!!) it has no signs of handling at all!
