Visual grading
Both vinyls do have some light hairlines caused by sleeve removal and there are some very small marks over one area on S1 but they have no affect on the stunning audio quality. It is obvious they have been hardly played as there is no spindle wear visible.
Play grading
'One Vision' begins proceedings with that audio that is so impressive it is obvious this vinyl has been hardly played, if at all. The depth and power is first class and there is no interference of any kind. What I love about this recording is the strength of the bass, this is definitely one of the best live recordings on vinyl from the 90s. The first quiet section on 'In The Lap Of The Gods' again has no interference and plays superbly. The quality does not diminish and every track on this side plays with astounding power and clarity.
There is a minimal amount of lead in static on S2 and on Freddie's spoken intro. Following that 'Who Wants To Live Forever' has sublime audio with light background static on the intro only. There are no clicks or pops and the sound quality is incredible. The more you listen to it the better it gets! Stunning. The remainder of the side plays to the same standard with only the slightest hint of background static in a couple of quieter sections. Barely worth mentioning as it is sooo much in the background!
'Love Of My Life' has wonderful audio again apart for a 5 second section during the second verse where there is a small jump and 4/5 clicks. Such a shame as the rest of the track plays extremely well with only very light static here and there. 'Is This The World We Created...?' plays perfectly as does 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and can be graded as Mint such is the quality.
The audio on S4 resonates with immense power and clarity and again demonstrates what a top quality LP this recording is. 'Radio Ga Ga' is a stunning highlight. This high end quality continues right to the end without any 'background'. The audio on this side plays practically as new, the quality is breathtaking.
In summary this now very rare LP is in astonishing condition and aside from the 5 seconds of annoying interference (!) on 'Love Of My Life' I have never heard better. This vinyl was not pressed in vast numbers so to have a first press play as well as this is a rarity today.
Gatefold cover
The gatefold is in excellent condition with some shelf wear mainly on the back cover. The top edges and spine are very clean with only a minimal amount of rubbing. The bottom edge of the front cover does have a little more rubbing. Aside from that the front cover is very clean with only a couple of minor marks and the inside is in great condition. The back cover does have some spotting towards the top of the spine and a couple of small scuff marks on the left hand side. The opening have are extremely clean with almost no handling wear. So often this gatefold is found in very poor condition and whilst this one is by no means perfect it is I believe one of the better ones you will find.
Picture sleeves
The paper inners are in excellent condition with no marking and hardly any creasing. One of them has a small split on the bottom edge. Considering they are made of thin paper they remain in superb shape.
The labels
They are in excellent condition with no marking or writing and no spindle wear either.
