Queen : Made In Heaven A2/B2 1st Press Cream Vinyl Limited Edition 1995 (Complete)
This very collectable limited edition plays to a superb standard with no obvious intrusion. There are no clicks or pops and the only 'background' is some light static on the S1 intro but as detailed below so much less than usual. The rest of the album plays with exceptional quality with only a hint of barely audible static here and there. It hardly deserves a mention as it is so quiet but I prefer to be 100% 'complete' with my grading. The sonic quality is stunning throughout, the clarity and depth could hardly be any more impressive, and the previous owner certainly knew how to look after his records. The record is of course pressed on cream/white vinyl and is visually in superb condition.
This is also reflected in the cover which is fantastic condition with no wear. The posters are in beautiful condition and the lyric inner (with no 'Heaven For Everyone' lyrics as per the first pressings) has no wear either. The small flyer is 'as new' with no marking etc.

Visual grading
The vinyl is visually stunning with a very strong glossy sheen. There are no marks or scratches and under a strong light I can only see a small number of very faint sleeve removal hairlines. The labels are very clean and with only very minimal spindle wear this album has clearly not been on a turntable very much.
Play grading
For once 'It's a Beautiful Day' has only very minimal light static on the intro and having now played it three times (plus cleaning the record) the clarity has improved even more. This quiet section often plays with a fair amount of static/crackle but not here! As the volume increases soon followed by the 'birdsong' the playback is perfect. Freddie opening vocal has no interference and from then on plays with great clarity with only a handful of mega light dust ticks. I will grade the intro as Ex+ and the remainder as Mint- it is that good.'Made In Heaven' plays with sublime precision from start to finish with no 'background' of any kind. Some may say a little over-produced but you cannot fault the power and depth of the audio here. A Mint version in every regard.
'Let Me Live' plays to the same high end standard with no intrusion. There is no distortion on the top end and Mint is very much deserved.
The intro on the classic 'Mother Love' plays so clearly with only 3/4 very light ticks, just what you expect from vinyl and totally non-intrusive. It continues to play with faultless precision and for a relatively quiet track the clarity is outstanding. There is no distortion on Freddie's higher register - it's amazing he was able to reach such 'heights' when you consider it was his last vocal performance. The final verse, of course sung by Brian, is perfect and the end section has no 'background' and that includes the 'baby' cry! A Near Mint intro and then Mint for the remainder.
'My Life Has Been Saved' ends the side with great clarity and there are no ticks, clicks, pops or static. For once there is barely any inner groove distortion and Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.

The intro on 'I Was Born To Love You' has barely any static and the vocal begins the clarity is 'as new'. It then plays with genuine power and with a clarity that is second to none. No interference at all. Mint-
The quiet intro on 'Heaven For Everyone' again has no obvious static and the playback is very 'clean' indeed. Freddie's opening vocal is of the same standard and the first chorus is 'as new'. From then on it plays so clearly with only a hint of barely audible static here and there and I do mean barely audible! The audio is so impressive and the quiet end section has just minimal static right at then end. I will grade as Near Mint but the vast majority is better than that!
The emotive classic 'Too Much Love Will Kill You' plays beautifully with barely any 'background'. A hint of barely audible static in a couple of sections but this is usual for this track on this pressing. Again so quiet and 100% non-intrusive and I only mention it to be 'complete' in my grading. From beginning to end it plays with wonderful clarity and of course there are no clicks or pops. Another Near Mint track.
'You Don't Fool Me' plays with superb power and depth and no interference. The playback is flawless and Mint is an easy grade to give.
'A Winter's Tale' also impresses on every level with sublime clarity from start to finish. A stunning Mint version that could not play with any greater precision.
The reprise of 'It's A Beautiful Day' has only very light static on the intro and then plays with imperious quality even before Freddie comes in. As the volume increases the audio plays with great depth and resonance with no sign of any interference or distortion. The track of course finishes on a Freddie 'Yeah' and then the drawn out 'note' on the run out has a some light crackle sounds as per usual. I am sure many would grade this as Mint but I will say Near Mint on the intro and then Mint for the remainder.
In summary this first pressing plays with a clarity and depth that would be hard to beat. The intro on S1 plays so much more clearly than many other versions I have heard and the rest of the album is close to perfect. There is only the bare minimum of mega light static and this is 100% non-intrusive as it is so quiet to say the least. There are no clicks, sticks or pops and this is a record that has been so well preserved down the years. A stunning example!
The Gatefold, Posters & Lyric Inner
The cover is in lovely condition with no real wear and has retained its original shape and structure so well with no bends or creasing. The edges have barely any rubbing and the wide spine is in superb order with no wear. All corners are very strong with next to no wear and the opening edges have no handling wear either. The front and back cover are unmarked and the inside is immaculate also. It hardly gets any better than this!
The three posters are practically 'as new' with only some very minor faint 'spotting' on the reverse side of a couple and the lyric inner is indeed in perfect condition. The small flyer is just as impressive also.
Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers
