Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

As you can see, this vinyl is the ORIGINAL UK  1975 PRESS

Stored from new this LP has seen AVERAGE CAREFUL PLAYS - BUT REMAINS IN SUPER CLEAN BRIGHT CONDITION

This pressing has retained its glossy sheen, and has some LIGHT spider lines around the centre hole- and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There ARE SOME whisp lines, and a couple of feint hairlines  nothing else! 

Just a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..

IT PLAYS SUPERB, with some light static on the intro dead grooves of 'Death on 2 legs' & 'Prophet song' (the quiet middle section is super clean no static) , and inbetween the dead grooves on'Lazing on a Sunday afternoon'

All the quiet passages sound fantastic.

'39' plays superb, with no crackle.

'Love of my life' plays superb, just the tiniest of little static in the intro.

'Good Company'- superb no static of any note at all..

'Bohemian Rhapsody'- stunning!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

IT IS  SUPER EXAMPLE,. WHITE WITH NO GRUBBY HANDLING MARKS

CORRECT EMBOSSED CREST,  WITH no 'Queen production credit on the bottom left fan'..this was added later on subsequent pressings

CORRECT FLAT MATT FINISH- Later ones were glossier.

CORRECT SINGLE CUT INNER -Not rounded like later presses

beware 'mix and match' sets....

The edges are all super clean with no real traces of rub, at all , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

No powdery white ringwear - OR ring press, and all edges are super crisp.

SPINE EDGE IS IMACULATE

ONE CORNER HAS A SMALL DINK AND A LIGHT CREASE WITH IT (See photo)

THE OPEN EDGE IS SUPER SHARP- NO FEATHERING OF ANY NOTE

THE SPINE IS STUNNING WITH NO RUB OR WEAR TO THE TITLES

THE WHITE INKS & CREST ARE GLEAMING LIKE BRAND NEW..

THE GATEFOLD IS IMMACULATE. NO WEAR OR DISCOLOURATION

A real treasure for any fan, inside this LP when we sawe it we were gobsmacked.. these books are rare nowadays in this condition, no creasing or thumbing of any note!
