Description

  • 1977 Elektra Records 6E-112, this is an original US promo only LP and press kit set featuring the classic Queen album "News Of The World". This super scarce kit comes housed in a packet styled sleeve that opens at the back. Included in the set are a copy of the newspaper styled Queen "News Of The World" promo sheet, a sticker sheet containing two "News Of The World" artwork stickers, the official international Queen Fan Club Biography, 7 glossy press photos of the band, and five sheets of "Queen News" press releases. The outer packet sleeve grades about VG+, showing some handling and stress/crease marks/corner wear around the edges. All of the insert sheets and photos are in near mint/excellent condition. The sticker sheet and some of the press release pages show a minor corner crease, but nothing of much note. Set also contains an original vinyl pressing of the album, which is still sealed and unplayed; there is a clean punch hole at the top right corner of the gatefold jacket, in addition to a small crease at the same corner. Outside of that and a few minor corner bumps from years of storage, this one is untouched. The original sticker touting the inclusion of the hit "We Are The Champions" is still affixed to the front shrink. The only copy of this set I have ever come across, and most likely will ever come across. NOTE: US Postal rates have increased as of January 27th.
