Visual grading

They both have that stunning glossy unplayed look and there are no scratches to be seen and no spindle wear either.  There are only a couple of faint hairlines on S3 that have no doubt been caused by sleeve removal.  Presumably the previous owner wanted to look at them!  There is a little mottling that can only be seen under a strong light but this is a common feature with this album and was caused during manufacture.  The second record has a very small 'kink' in it which is a little more obvious when you play S4 but it does not affect the superb audio in any way.  Very few records lay completely flat and this cannot be classified as a warp in my opinion.  The labels and run out grooves are also in pristine condition.

Play grading

The audio on all four sides is of a superb standard.  As stated the vinyls have never been played prior to my play testing and the power and depth on every track is so impressive.  There is one light click on 'We Will Rock You' but aside from that S1 plays without fault.  The clarity on the quieter sections is stunning although of course there are not that many!  The 'quieter' moments during 'Fat Bottomed Girls' is a prime example of that and it plays with superb clarity from start to finish.  This clarity is further exemplified on 'It's Late' as there is just no 'background' at all and the playback is immaculate.  Every track on the album 'rocks out' in sublime style with incredible definition and the relatively quiet 'No-One But You' ends the album with perfect audio.  This double album plays with Mint- quality for 99% and it is plain to see that it has never been played before.  Aside from the one click this is a final upgrade archive pressing of that I have no doubt.

The Gatefold

This stunning glossy gatefold is in Mint condition and has been beautifully well preserved over the last 22 years.  The edges, wide spine, opening edges and corners are all in immaculate order and there is no marking to be seen anywhere.  A beautiful example, it could not be any cleaner!

Picture sleeves

The glossy sleeves are also in perfect condition with no marking or creasing and there are no side splits.  This is actually more rare than you might think.  Due to the weight of the vinyls they will often cut through but not here!

The Labels

They are all in superb condition with no marking or writing and no spindle wear.  They have lost none of their original vibrant colour.
