Description

This very early first press variation plays with stunning quality and the clarity, depth and resonance of the audio is exceptional. It is so close to 'as new'. The only real intrusion is one light static click on '...Leroy Brown'. There are a small number of minor statics during the quieter section on 'Brighton Rock' - they are not clicks and hardly intrusive. I cannot emphasise enough just how clearly this classic album plays. The vinyl is visually stunning also.
The laminated cover is in superb shape with only minimal wear on a couple of corners and the lyric inner is practically 'as new'. It does have rounded corners which I believe isn't usually the case. Perhaps some like this were issued with the 4U/4U pressing.

Visual description
The vinyl is in lovely condition and still has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can only see a small number of ultra faint hairlines and obviously there is nothing that stands out. The labels are unmarked with hardly any spindle wear.
Play Grading
The intro on 'Brighton Rock' plays perfectly and the opening vocal section is 'as new' also. The classic instrumental passage plays with superb clarity and depth and it's only during the quieter section that you can hear a small number of minor static ticks, nothing intrusive. The next vocal is flawless and the closing section is just as strong. A Near Mint version.
'Killer Queen' plays with imperious quality through every vocal and instrumental section. Put simply there is no background, not even a dust tick, and Mint is 100% deserved.
Now regarded as a Taylor classic 'Tenement Funster' plays with exceptional quality from the get go. The intro and opening vocal have no interference and as the drums come in the audio does not falter. The first chorus is stunning and it continues to play with a clarity, depth and power that could not be beaten. Seriously the depth here is superb! Another Mint track.
The segue into 'Flick Of The Wrist' has no intrusion and the entire track then plays with incredible power and definition and the clarity is quite impressive also! Providing more evidence of a rarely played vinyl there is literally no background and there is no distortion either. High end audio and Mint all the way.
The piano intro on 'Lily Of The Valley' plays with sublime clarity and the opening vocal is on a par with that. This is the 'cleanest' version I have heard in many a year because from start to finish the clarity is comparable to an vinyl pressed yesterday and that includes the fade out. I haven't many Mint versions of this little classic but we definitely have one here! My definition of perfect clarity is not one dust tick which are so incredible quiet anyway - and there is not one dust tick here!
'Now I'm Here' keeps up the good work and plays with great clarity and power throughout. There is no actual interference but as is common there is just a little inner groove distortion. Minimal distortion I hasten to add. I'll say Near Mint

The intro / Roger's 'scream' on 'In The Lap Of the Gods' is stunning, never heard better. The vocal section then plays perfectly and proceeds in exactly the same way. Wonderful depth and warmth and zero background. Mint
'Stone Cold Crazy' rocks out good and proper with no interference. Just incredible power and depth - jeez early Queen was so good! Mint
The very quiet 'Dear Friends' plays beautifully with only a couple of minor statics. Blink and you miss them basically - the clarity of sound is STUNNING and I will say Mint here.
'Misfire' then plays with flawless audio from start to finish. The separation is so impressive i.e. each note is so clean and precise, you miss nothing. For some strange reason I've never really noticed the bass line but it's very much in the forefront here which gives you a good idea of the clarity on offer. Mint
'Bring Back That Leroy Brown' has just one static click during the quieter vocal towards the end but otherwise plays to perfection. Let's say Near Mint-
The intro on 'She Makes Me...' has no intrusion and Brian's opening vocal is just as clean. It continues to play with outstanding clarity and the end 'vocal' section as unique as it is could not play with any greater precision. The most 'complete' version that you could wish for. Mint
'In The Lap Of The Gods...revisited' plays with stunning quality once more but I guess by now that's no surprise! The 'choral' section plays with great power and only the bare minimum of inner groove distortion. Actually distortion seems like too harsh a word for it. Anyways... it's a superb Mint- finish to this classic album.
The Cover & Lyric Inner
The laminated cover is in superb condition with hardly any shelf wear. The edges are unmarked and the thin spine is so clean with only minimal rubbing on the corners. The right hand corners have next to no wear and the opening edge is pristine. The front cover is stunning and the back cover has just one tiny crease bottom left. There are a handful of minor creases either side of the spine but this is a common thing. One of the best covers I have seen in a long time.
The lyric inner is in fantastic condition with no marking and no side splits or tears. There is hardly any ringwear either.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
