Queen : The Game A3/B2 1st Press
This first pressing plays with superb audio for the majority with only a few seconds of interference on S2. S1 could not play any better it is stunning! The clarity, depth and power of the audio on both sides is very impressive and the vinyl is also visually in great condition with only one small area of marking on S1.
As any Queen collector knows the 'foil' cover is rarely found in decent condition but this is without question one of the 'cleanest' ones I have seen in many a year. It has hardly been handled, is still very strong and robust, and the only 'obvious' wear is some ringwear marking. The lyric inner is in perfect Mint condition I am pleased to say.

Visual grading
The vinyl still has a lovely glossy sheen and S1 in particular looks 'as new' with no obvious hairlines, marks or scratches - it is immaculate! S2 is almost as good and has just only one very small faint area of 'spotting/speckling' that causes a little interference as described below. The rest of the side is faultless. Judging by how clean the vinyl is, the audio and the minimal spindle wear this is clearly a record that has hardly been played. The run out grooves are pristine and the labels are also in fantastic condition with no marking.
Play grading
The synth intro on 'Play The Game' for once plays perfectly with no 'background' and it continues in the same precise way. From start to finish this is undeniably 'as new' with no intrusion on the audio. A Mint start to the album.
'Dragon Attack' is of the same standard and as you would expect with such a clean vinyl it still plays with that familiar deep bass sound. The original sonic quality is still there and it plays with amazing clarity, power and depth throughout. Mint
The classic 'Another One Bites The Dust' plays with sublime quality with no interference. With only a couple of barely audible dust ticks the clarity cannot be faulted and Mint is again very much deserved.
'Need Your Loving Tonight' is superb from the get go and for once there is no distortion. You could not find a more 'complete' version as there is literally no 'background' to be heard. An underrated track in my opinion this is Mint from the first note to the last.
The acoustic intro on 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' plays perfectly and the same can be said for the rest of the track. There are no ticks, clicks, pops or static and the overall audio quality is stunning throughout. A Mint end to the side.

The 'vocal' intro on 'Rock It' so often plays with interference and yet the audio here is 'crystal clear' I do not think I have heard better! A stunning start! From then on it plays with supreme power and depth and again there is no sign of any 'background'. Audio does not get any better than this! Mint
'Don't Try Suicide' has a couple of very light static ticks on the intro - it is still a superb start with no background static. The first verse and chorus are 'as new' and it continues to play with outstanding clarity and power. There is just a minimal amount of light static on the final verse for 3/4 four seconds and a little on the closing instrumental. The vast majority is Mint but the final section is Ex although this 'background' is really not that intrusive.
The quiet intro on 'Sail Away Sweet Sister' plays beautifully and Brian's opening vocal is just as impressive. The first chorus is of the same 'high end' standard and it continues to play with a clarity that is second to none. A sensational Mint version in every way. Even the closing instrumental section plays with sublime clarity.
The percussive intro on 'Coming Soon' has no interference and it then plays with dynamic power and depth for the remainder. You can certainly turn this one up to max with no fear of any distortion! Freddie's vocal is so strong and clear here and this infinitely deserves a Mint grade.
'Save Me' begins perfectly but after a few seconds there is a little static and 4/5 crackle sounds. The first chorus has no such interference and the next verse has only a couple of very minor ticks. From then on it plays with exceptional sonic quality and no other 'background'. This is another case where the majority plays with Mint quality but the intro has to be graded as VG+ in my opinion.
In summary this first pressing plays with great quality and S1 in particular is superb with no interference at all. S2 is not far off that standard with only minimal interference on a couple of tracks but as stated the vast majority is unaffected. This is obviously a record that has hardly been played and has a cover to match as described below.
The 'Foil' Cover & Lyric Inner
The 'foil' cover is definitely one of the finest I have seen in a long time. It has preserved its original shape so well and for once the edges have none of the 'crimping' you so often see. The top and bottom edges have no wear and the thin pinched spine is also near perfect with only a couple of minor indents and all corners are also in great shape with barely any wear. The opening edge has hardly any handling wear either. The front and back covers are so clean with only some ringwear fading that you so often see. Overall though it has very little marking and it would be difficult to find better - as any collectors know this cover is extremely difficult to find in decent condition. We have one here!
The thick card lyric inner (with rounded corners) is in perfect condition with no side splits, marking or creasing.
