THE QUESTS " MR. RAINBOW , 26 MILES , COME ON DOWN TO MY BOAT , HUR PI TZU SHAU " on MOUNTAIN rec... from '67 brilliant obscure and mega rare Ep from Singapore's top bands ,the Quests , one song is included on the great recent Singapore garage compilation , but truth is that all are EQUALLY GREAT here !!!! from the absolutely crazy cover of Mark Wirtz's " Mr. Rainbow "( a song that also exist under different name as " halucinations " on TOMORROW lp as well -produced by mastermind Mark Wirtz - but not as good as Mr Rainbow ,simply the best song on FADIN YELLOW comp and one of the best psychpop songs ever .... ) to " 26 miles " ( killer fuzz ,strange noises , psych vibe reminds me a lot the chilean LOS MACS ...) to " hur pi tzu " ( organ, fuzz leads,sitar ,trippy atmosphere dreamy instrumental ) to "come on to my boat " ( killer cover of famous garage classic with furious organ and fuzz guitar ) , no hype my friends here , how many ep's you have that all tracks are brilliant?? to my opinion all these should have appeared in the Singapore compilation, but maybe they are more psychic the rest 3 .... anyway cover is M- (!!!) and record looks M- but as all pressings on these singapore small labels are quite noisy , so dont expect a M- sound , it'll never happen with Sigapore's records .........few words about me now, i used to collect for over 10 years now focused 100% in 60's beat/garage/psych/prog music , mostly 60's 45's ,but now i decided to sell the big part of it,so many more will follow ,almost all records since from my private collection will be sound graded as well since i know them all very good, this ofcaurse is much more important than the typical visual grading that the majority of ebay sellers do , since i was a collector myself i'll try to be as strict as i can on grading ,but keep in mind that 95% of my records are in really enjoyable condition and are keeper's copies for serious collections , postage would be 5$ worldwide, good luck and feel free to ask whatever.... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
