Quarteto Em Cy - self titled
FORMA Records / FM-4
RECORD DESCRIPTION:
Vinyl looks and plays VG++, close to near mint. Nice gloss to the vinyl, mono copy with bright labels. There are some very light scratches thought the record plays amazing. Background noise stays at a minimum. There are some light clicks on side B in a few places, but otherwise it sounds excellent.
Cover is a gatefold and is in VG++ condition. There is some very light edge wear in several places. No seam splits but at the mouth, the edges are weak and are about to split, but only at the edges. The back cover has some slight ring wear.
Overall, this is a high quality album that represents the period and the artists well. I tried to read through the Portuguese bio for the group but had a tough time. I'm considering this album to be their first. I don't see a date on the album but it looks as if this one was released in either 1964 or 1966 as its their self-titled work.

GRADING:
I will have the Goldmine Standard in mind when grading but will be taking plenty of pictures to represent the records condition. Any items having multiple condition grades: First grade is vinyl, second is the sleeve.

"Goldmine Standard" grading:
SS = Still Sealed
Never opened. Any flaws (torn shrinkrwrap, creasing) will be indicated in the description.
NM- = Near Mint Minus
Has been opened, but is still flawless
with no damage whatsoever.
VG+ = Very Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only "barely detectable" crackles or pops. A slight noise at the begining is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless.
- Cover: May only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
VG = Very Good
The majority of records (worth selling) fall under this grade.
- Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only occasionally,never continuously, and not more loudly than the music being listened to.
- Cover: Normal used cover wear such as ring wear and split seams. If there is abnormal damage such as tears or markings, but the seller still feels that it qualifies as a
"VG", the damage must be described in comments attached to the item.
G+ = Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have continuous crackles, pops, etc... but not so loud as to make the music completely unenjoyable for the casual listener.
- Cover: More than normal wear and tear.
additional note: I forgot to mention the small nick on the outer edge of the lead-in. It looks like this was part of the production process. It does not in any way affect the play of the record and is barely noticeable but I did see it when putting the record back in the sleeve. Just wanted everyone to know. Here's a detailed pic:
