Description

You are bidding on a Queen Jazz 1978 First Press SRC Promo Embossed Gatefold Elektra 6E-166 which I acquired from a relative about 30 years ago. This appears to be a radio station copy, as evidenced by the Property of ink stamp on the font cover. The call letter of the radio station are partially illegible, but it appears to be from what was then radio station WGMF (now WNGZ) in Watkins Glen NY. There is also a black Elektra/Asylum Promotional Copy Not for Sale sticker on the front cover. However, the record itself has no promo markings that I can see, unlike other version of this record that are marked as promo or for radio station use only on the labels.  The record is also a Specialty Records Corporation pressing, as evidence by the SRC logo and SP lettering in the runout matrix. And yes this pressing has the infamous poster and NOT the coupon to send in for the poster. Only thr back of the poster is included in my pictures for obvious reasons, but The front of the poster is in fine shape as well. The full runout matrix number on Side 1 is 1-3 (SRC logo) 6E-166A-SP RTB-1 STERLING. The outer gatefold sleeve is in solid shape, with ring wear on the outside of the gatefold being the primary issue as pictured. This sleeve is the version with the embossing of the word Jazz on the front and back. The original inner sleeve with the band and track listing has some minor wear as pictured but is still fairly glossy.  The record looks good and plays well on my standard modern Victrola turntable. Please review all of the detailed photos that I have taken, as I have done my very best to accurately capture condition in these pictures. Will ship boxed, in a manner that will preserve the integrity of this item. NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A FREE SHIPPING ITEM--YOU WILL PAY EXTRA FOR SHIPPING AS INDICATED. I will combine shipping if you win more than one of my auctions, Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my listing.
