Queen "Jazz" 1978 LP, Elektra 6E-166, Promo Copy, Bicycle Race Poster Included

If interested, Seller has listed several other Queen titles at the time of this writing.  The seller received this LP as a promotional copy from the label at the time of its release.  

The disc was visually inspected and appears to be in NM- to NM condition.  The cover is in VG+ condition, with minimal shelf wear.  The pink letters "Jazz" are raised/embossed on the front and rear covers. It has a cut corner in the upper right, which designated it as a promo copy.

It has the original black glossy paper inner sleeve, which has an image of the band on one side, and song titles/credits on the other side. There is a small cut corner and a 4" seam split on one side of the inner sleeve.  The vinyl has been removed and put into a generic white sleeve to prevent further damage.  

The original tri-fold Bicycle Race poster is included and in excellent condition.  The poster measures 11 3/4" by 35 1/4". The poster is in excellent condition, although it does have creases where it was folded to fit inside the album sleeve. It is inscribed "@ 1978 Raincloud Productions Limited Printed in U.S.A." in the lower left corner, and the backing of the poster paper is pink.  When the album corner was cut, the corner of the folded poster received a small nick.  Please zoom in on the provided photos to see the overall condition of this item.

This first press version has Elektra Black Labels with white lettering, and pink JAZZ lettering.  Label variation: PRCW under the word STEREO.

(Wikipedia Excerpts)  Jazz is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Queen. It was released on 10 November 1978 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker, the album artwork was suggested by Roger Taylor, who previously saw a similar design painted on the Berlin Wall. The album's varying musical styles were alternately praised and criticized. It reached number six on the US Billboard 200.

A bicycle race with nude women was held to promote the album and the "Fat Bottomed Girls"/"Bicycle Race" single. Jazz famously came packaged with a bicycle race poster in most countries. The first American release included the poster, which is what is being sold in this listing.  Due to some controversary, a second edition was released in the US that did not have the poster, but rather included a mail away coupon for the consumer.

Seller is the Original Owner. I have recently begun to list my 2500+ record collection on Ebay, so please check back occasionally to see my new listings. My collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983. Most of my vinyl records have never been played, and many have their original shrink wrap. Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired many promotional and collectible LPs from that era.

Grading methodology is as follows:

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Seller will insure packages valued above $30.  Insurance does not cover missing packages after they have been delivered to the buyer's address, only damage or loss during shipping. Warping is possible if vinyl records are exposed to sun/heat during hot months. Provide a shady area for your package delivery, and bring package inside as soon as possible.  If Buyer would prefer a faster shipping service, please contact the Seller before completing the transaction to discuss options such as Priority Mail. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
