Description

News of the World - 1st pressing from 1977 on EMI. Matrix -1/-2. The record comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover. Also included is the die cut inner sleeve by G&L. 100% complete and 100% genuine...and in amazing condition......
Vinyl (Ex) This LP is remarkably well preserved and has clearly only seen very very light use. Both sides are shiny like new and under close inspection I can barely see a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are absolutely silent and the audio comes across with amazing clarity and barely a hint of interference. I could only make out a couple of light crackles during 'All Dead' and that really is all that was vaguely audible....It's also worth noting that they obviously made a very good job of the mastering on this LP. There's a very lush production with a real depth to the sound and bags of detail - perfect for Queen!
Cover (Ex) Again, someone has really looked after this copy. So often the cover turns up worn - particularly on the edges on the spine. Not here! Very very minor edge wear and the faintest bit on the spine. It really has been amazingly well preserved. Overall the cover has a lovely rigid feel to it - like a new one!..there can't be many too many in existence like this....
Inner (Ex) So, often the poor relation...not here...it is in fantastic condition. Only one one inch split to side seam, otherwise in perfect condition.
