Queen, News of the World LP 1977 ~ Elektra 6E-112, 12” 33⅓-RPM Vinyl LP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For auction is the album by Queen, News of the World. Released in 1977 by Elektra, the songs that Igot the most airplay were probably We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. I hope the band is still getting royalties from those two songs.
Also, the album cover is possibly the best of all time in my opinion. The giant robot, while accidentally killing humans, is so sad and so human.
Overall condition: I grade this record and everything that comes with it in Near Mint (NM) condition.
Record condition: Probably the most important part of the package, at the time I bought this record my modus operandi was to handle the record extremely carefully and to clean it every time I played it. And I played the record only a few times. I imagine it plays like new. There is no warping, not even any spindle wear. Scratches and dings don’t exist on this record. In fact, the edge of the record still has that knife-sharp feel of a new record. I grade the condition of this record the record in Near Mint (NM) condition.
Record cover condition: The edges and corners show only very light wear. I covered the cover in a plastic cover. (How many times can I use “cover” in a short paragraph?) I rate this cover in Near Mint (NM) condition.
Inner Sleeve condition: Only light folds on one corner of the sleeve, and one slightly dinged corner. There is no sun bleaching. With the lyrics of the record covering both sides, this is a nice piece to have in the package. I grade this inner sleeve Near Mint (NM).
I am not a great fan of eBay’s latest listing system. I honestly think they made some parts of it more difficult so that they could reap another few cents from out of my pockets with it. Shipping and handling charges, while possibly correct for the United States, are probably wrong for everywhere else. Please ask if necessary. I’ll be glad to answer. I can say I almost always charge less for shipping & handling than eBay does.
For buyers outside the United States, customs and import taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer.
The package will be labeled Merchandise, not Gift.
I usually send out items within a day of receiving payment but several things could slow me down. I don’t like to send things to an address other than the one provided by eBay. Being a verified buyer and having a confirmed address can help.
