Interscope Records, 493 435-1. Issued 2002. UK original. QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, Songs for the Deaf. Vinyl double LP. Black vinyl. Extra tracks to this edition. (See pics) Single pocket gloss sleeve, yellow company sticker front bottom left which has never been moved. The outer sleeve retains it's factory shrink-wrap, which has been carefully slit down the one open side but kept in place. No edge wear, no creases, corner dinks, scuffs, smudging or compression ring wear. No moisture damage. Inner sleeves are condition as above, except that the red one has a tiny bit of crease on one corner seen upon close inspection which I have tried to show in pics. They are both glossy with "spot matt", which makes an interesting change! Discs are both showroom sheeny-shiny with that new vinyl smell. There is the tiniest amount of paper marking to playing surfaces here & there. Single test play today didn't identify anything untoward, no crackling, clicks, pops, jumping or sticking heard. A remarkably full, rich sound on this original vinyl compared to my CD copy. Paper labels show, (upon close inspection at a certain angle to strong light), a whisp of spindle marking at the inner-circle section. This album is from my private collection, it will likely not have been played more than once or twice when new. In fact, I don't actually think it was ever fully played all the way through. For subsequent years it has been carefully stored upright in a SEALED polythene LP sleeve plus a strong PVC outer.
A fine example of this magnificent album in time capsule condition from 2002. One only! Bid when you can...... before I change my mind! Thanks for looking.
