Description
Here is a very hard to find 45rpm record on the PA-GO-GO label by ? Question Mark and the Mysterians. I live in Freeland, Michigan about 10 miles from Saginaw Michigan where Question Mark & the Mysterians were from and saw them perform "96 Tears" live, locally several times back in 1966. They were local celebrities here in Michigan with 96 Tears making it all the way to # 1 in the U.S.A. in September, 1966. This song was a hit locally before it took off nationally and was first sold in local record stores on this PA-GO-GO label. After it started getting more popular it was released on the common Cameo label. The "b" side is "Midnight Hour"- a different song from the popular hit by Wilson Pickett titled "In the Midnight Hour". Both sides play through fine without skips or loud scratches but there is medium surface noise and small clicks but nothing severe. The pictures actually look better than the actual record as there are numerous scratch marks and lines that don't show up. This is NOT a MINT record, so please don't bid as though it was! It is an average or somewhat above average 40 year old hit record that has been played many times, and is far from perfect. I would rate the condition as VG. Look at both pictures for the condition of the labels. The pictures are quite accurate for the labels as they do show some wear but all printing is clear and there is no writing on either side. If you have any questions please email and I'll be glad to help. Thanks for looking!
