Description
Quicksilver Messenger Service's debut effort was a little more restrained and folky than some listeners had expected, given their reputation for stretching out in concert. While some prefer the mostly live Happy Trails, this self-titled collection is inarguably their strongest set of studio material. Here’s a reviewer from All Music:
“The music was everything I wanted - psychedelic guitar riffs with long jams, a touch of Jazz and going on for more than the standard top 40 3 minutes. There are a few pop songs too but better than top 40. Worth owning and listen to it loud or with your ear buds so you can crank the John Cipollina tuned guitar solos. 5 stars indeed.”
Vinyl is in great condition and the cover very serviceable, if showing some signs of age.
Having downsized our home, I am selling off my collection of vinyl to save space. Pains me to do it, but the time has come!
All that I am listing is from my personal collection and has been lovingly cared for. Most of my records were transferred to tape to prevent vinyl wear as can be seen from the photos accompanying each lot.
I have tried to be rigidly honest in my grading (as per RC Rare Record Price Guide), so you can buy with confidence. All records will be shipped in reinforced card containers with strengtheners where required.
