The record is VISUALLY graded under a bright light with strong reading glasses. The OVERALL condition of side one looks VG++, with little evidence of playing, though there is some light surface noise on the intros at the edge of the record. The overall, random, brief sections of play-grading reveal crisp sound and deep bass,  with no obvious sonic evidence of overplaying or rollled off high-frequencies. Specific notable visual flaws:  Small patch of light surface paper-scuffs affect the first half of A1. One light, superficial surface scuff in the shape of a long "checkmark"  briefly spans the second half of A4, all of A5 & the first half of A6.
Side 2 looks strong VG+ overall, due to a slightly increased number of light,  superficial paper-scuffs - though these are still few and far between.  The most noticeable of them spans B1 into the first half of B2.  B5 has what looks like cue-burning / light  superficial scuffing that follows sections of the grooves. There's a tiny chip of missing methylcellulose acetate at the very edge,  see photo - it does not affect play at all, of course.
This is a "Mercury Pre-Production Copy" reference acetate with a completely different track sequence than the eventual track listing sequence, which we've included for your convenience, toward the bottom of our description here. Both side of the these labels appear to be be stained dark over time from the glue used - and they are definitely hand-typed, with a correction visible on one track's "matrix / identification number". The "extra hole" often present on reference acetates  is lighter paper and not as dark in color. Both label sides have AUDIODISC printed,  along with A-403 which appears to be an internal use number for Audiodiscs. Comes with the original Audiodiscs innersleeve,  which is fully split and torn on one side,  has a 2 inch seam-split on the bottom center, and small, short tears on the other edges.
These timings are NOT on the label,  but are taken from the discogs dot com master release tracklist for your convenience, and assumed to be the same timings as on this acetate, as we have NOT entirely play-graded,  nor timed the individual tracks on this rare and delicate item collectable!
