Description
While I've time over the holidays, I'm listing a number of albums from my own collection that are not getting played. Please check out the condition of the sleeves in the photos - some have typical wear, circular marks in the dark sections and some have splits that have been repaired. Some are in very fine conditions. I'll make the condition of each clear in the condition description section.
They've all been cleaned on my VPI machine and then played and are all very playable with some surface noise between tracks, nothing intrusive that will spoil your enjoyment.
If, when you've played an album, you're at all dissatisfied, please let me know and I'll make it right. The condition of record albums is very subjective and the bottom line is that the customer is always right. I'm not going to get into the formality of grading except when a record is absolutely mint, instead I play every record at least at the start of each side.
This LP is unusual apart from the translucent red vinyl, which only a small proportion of this album's production was made with.
It's recorded at 78 rpm, but it's a standard LP microgroove otherwise - don't play it with an old 78 rpm stylus! I gave it a spin after its cleaning before listing to confirm it plays well and it certainly does. The intent of 78 rpm on LP technology was to provide higher fidelity than standard 33 rpm LPs. The principle certainly makes sense. You be the judge!
