Tamla Motown (Prodisa) TD-077 / 1965 / Argentina
Vayamos A Algun Lugar (Let's Go Somewhere) b/w Pobrecita (Poor Girl)
This rare specimen belongs to the Triassic period of Tamla Motown editions released in Argentina,
and probably most parts of South America (early-to-mid 60s).
But there are even other aspects to be kept in mind.
Some collectors know that the earliest Tamla Motown editions released in Argentina
were distributed and manufactured by the RCA Victor record company.
However, this is not the case, because before that distribution deal they were temporarily managed by Prodisa
(a small and ephemeral label) during a few months.
These hardly-known and earliest editions differ in some aspects,
such as the rare Prodisa sleeve (it is virtually extinct),
and the extreme scarcity, as most significant.
As usual in this region, the record spins at 33-rpm
Record: A-side: G+(+) to VG / B-side: G+(+), .......... (This 50 year old record retains its original gloss, and there are some light scuff marks, as well as one non-feelable surface mark on the B-side, but NO bad scratches and/or any other flaws to mention, and plays OK with some light background noise, which is in part due to the quality of manufacture). .......... Both labels are absolutely clean, .......... (NO stickers, dirt, spindle marks, ink stamps and/or wear, there is a small X on the A-side). .......... Sleeve: N/A, it comes housed in its original company sleeve (it has some noticeable flaws here and there).
