Description
A couple of years ago, one of Australia's most respected and most eloquent music writers passed away - he was active all throughout the 80's and 90's, and to a lesser extent, right up until recently. His credibility was perhaps best illustrated by the high reverence in which he was held by his journalistic peers, and especially by the absolute cream of Australia's musicians - members of Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, Radio Birdman, Sports, Angels, and many many others counted him as an ally (itself rare in the too often isolationist world he inhabited)...and he had a flurry of loyal readers too...all of whom, it's my guess, would have felt a loop of sadness at the thought his indepth and articulate, impassioned appraisals would no longer be forthcoming.
Just recently I was offered to buy his record collection, which I did, feeling pretty honoured to do so...and here then, is one of the items from that collection:

DATE OF RELEASE: Feb. 1978 .
PRESSED IN: AUSTRALIA .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Almost....has the original band-pic labels, but the very first issue of this had a clear plastic sticker with red script, at the top of the front cover, explaining the differences between this release and the previous black-covered LP of the same name.
No insert...BUT...it does have the USA inner sleeve with the same collage of live Birdman pix as the insert had....plus the large black-on-white 'eagle-enclosed flying saucer' logo on the other side (which was not on the insert).
CONDITION:
COVER: ( EX- )...has some very mild foxing (light brown 'age-ing' spots)...and some equally minor tiny edge-creases...but otherwise in superb condition!...
RECORD: ( EX )...the vinyl has basically ALL of its original shine still...with just a couple of very light (barely visible) 'hair-line' scuffs only...truly beautiful copy!...it's an awesome listen!...(it actually looks so close to mint)...
LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: EX )...has small stain on the Side Two label...
