 This show, for all you vinyl lovers, and there are a bunch out there judging by the number of you that have responded to my rare and old vinyl radio shows, is a rare vinyl that you will not find on eBay ever.

  It is called ROLAND BYNUM SOUL IN MOTION  and aired on the UNITED AIR FORCE SYNDICATION SYSTEM.  

It is a ONE OF A KIND SHOW.

 Roland Bynum is a man of many talents, but the fact that he loves being a teacher and he honestly cares about the students at John Muir High School makes him shine. 

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Roland caught his first break in 1966 at radio station WAPX in Montgomery, Alabama where he became a radio personality. After some hopping around, Roland came to Los Angeles 50 years ago and landed a gig replacing a legendary radio personality. He has been on the radio ever since and you can catch him every Saturday morning from 6-8am on KJLH FM 102.3. 

Mr. Bynum, as he is called at John Muir has been teaching there for 17 years and he says he wouldn't teach at another school, because he has come to feel that he is in a special place at Muir, a school with so much tradition and pride. Roland said that what got him was when he came to Muir to work, there were 40 employees at the school who had graduated from the school and he thought that was unique in itself. He is well entrenched at the school and spends many hours after school talking to and mentoring kids. When we were doing this interview two of his old students who now attend UCLA came by to say hello to him.

When you walk into his classroom it is clear that he really cares about what he does, He is a guide and he takes pride in teaching. There are so many words of encouragement on his walls and when you're there it feels like a learning environment and that is why so many of his students do well.

EACH HALF HOUR SHOW IS HOSTED BY ROLAND WHO TELLS YOU EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT EACH ARTIST PROFILED.

  The music and presentation is outstanding.   IT IS EXTREMELY RARE AND ESPECIALLY FOR THE SUPERIOR SHAPE IT IS IN.

THERE MAY BE ONLY A FEW OF THESE LEFT ANYWHERE SINCE MOST STATIONS JUST THREW THEM AWAY AFTER AIRING SINCE THEY COULD NEVER BE AIRED AGAIN DUE TO THE TIME LIMITED COMMERCIAL CONTENT.  

ALSO THIS SHOW HAD LIMITED DISTRIBUTION SO THERE ARE LIKELY ONLY A FEW LEFT ANYWHERE.

     You will love this show and it belongs in your collection.     

       It is a great variety of music along with interviews and fun facts.      You will super great tunes and the best part is that you can hear them again and again, over and over,  whenever you want.   

       Remember, when you buy this show, not only will you own the tunes but also interspersed between songs is fascinating commentary and exclusive interviews.  

  Also, keep in mind that this and all  shows are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere.  It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining. 

 As well, it is a piece of radio history.  You just aren't going to find these shows anymore.  Think of what they will be worth in a few years!  (IF you wanted to sell.)  I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price
