MEGA-RARE, long-deleted, original classic 1st issue 2003 UK Parlophone Records a subsidiary of EMI (584 5431) 14-track 2-LP vinyl set icluding the singles "There There", "Go To Sleep" and "2 +2 = 5". Housed in beautiful gatefold picture sleeve designed by Stanley Donwood

This set remains sealed from new in the original manufactur's shrink wrap, and therefore mint and unplayed. The shrink wrap is still intact with no tears, and the jacket is in mint condition (No Cuts, No Ring Wears). An absolutely stunning copy!!!. Any visible white spots are shine from the lighting and are NOT defects. See the images to the bottom of the page

Hail to the Thief (The Gloaming), usually referred to without its subtitle as Hail to the Thief, is the sixth studio album by the English alternative rock band Radiohead, released in June 2003 through Parlophone Records and produced by Nigel Godrich. It was the last album released under Radiohead's six-album record contract with the label.

After two Radiohead albums exploring electronica, jazz and 20th-century classical music influences, Hail to the Thief was seen as a return to a more guitar-led sound, drawing from every era of the band's work. It was recorded quickly in an effort to capture a more "live", "spontaneous" sound. The band cited the Beatles, the Pixies, Charlie Mingus, Can, New Order, Tubeway Army and Siouxsie and the Banshees as influences; George Orwell, Dante, and fairy tales influenced the lyrics, much of which were written in response to the "War on Terror" and the war in Afghanistan. Singer Thom Yorke said the album addresses "frustration and powerlessness and anger, and the huge gap between the people that put themselves in control and the people that allegedly voted for them". At nearly an hour in length, it is the band's longest album.

Hail to the Thief debuted at number one in the United Kingdom and at number three in the United States, where it sold a greater number of copies in its first week than any other Radiohead album to date, and produced three charting singles: "There There" (a number one hit in Canada, and number four in the UK), "Go to Sleep" and "2 + 2 = 5".

Prices for this original 2003 UK stone cold mind factory sealed of “RADIOHEAD – HAIL TO THE THIEF” 2-LP pressing continue to rise, even before it was reissued by EMI/Capitol in US as part of the 'From The Capitol Vaults' series in 2008. First edition was pressed up in unknown small vinyl quantities, so it's very rare now, and will be increased in value. To find this 9-years old double LP sealed is a special event, but to find it in such pristine condition (crisp corners, no cuts, no seam splits) like it just came off the factory shelf, almost beggars belief. Most sealed/mint copies that surface are the later pressing, which is worth in the region of £20, but it is the rare 2003 1st pressing made in UK by Parlophone that sold out almost everywhere and fethces high prices when ever turn up in sealed condition. So do your research and ask the right question before you buy this.

Still rare as hen's teeth. This limited edition pressing is now out of print and gone from the last/Greek distributor that had any of these pressing within their inventory.
