SOPHOMORE ALBUM from this wonderfully effective hard rock supergroup featuring Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, drummer Cozy Powell and vocalist Ronnie James Dio. The material is stellar, ranging from volatile epic hard rock tracks such as 'Tarot Women' and 'Starstruck' to more evocative songs like 'Do You Close Your Eyes' and the weirdly constructed but hugely compelling 'Run With The Wolf'. Of course its side two that holds all the aces containing just two tracks, the mind blowing 'Stargazer' and the even more stunning, speed metal rush of 'A Light In The Black'.
Blackmore is on fire at every turn whilst Ronnie James Dio makes full use of that distinctive roar positioning himself as one of the definitive hard rock vocalists. I bought this album when it first came out, as a devout Blackmore worshipper I couldn't have wished for a better record, it was that good and that compelling.
Lovely as new copy - truly impossible to upgrade any further..
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks and no other signs of any use. Impossible to find like this after 43 years. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
Cover: Again, no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gate-fold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, stiff and totally uncrushed. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 43 years after release. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
